Dielectric Susceptibility Tensor of Cadmium Sulfide

Abstract

The components of static dielectric tensor ||κ_sij|| of wurtzite cadmium sulfide have been examined. An anisotropy of κ_s was found between the two crystal orientations [2\bar1\bar10] and [0001], that provides some suggestive knowledges on the lattice vibration spectra of cadmium sulfide and on the scattering mechanisms of electrons in several semiconductors.
