Absorption coefficient is calculated for electric dipole transitions associated with two magnon excitations in antiferromagnets on the mechanism proposed in a previous note. The theory is applied to the rutile type iron group fluorides. Far infrared absorption peaks observed in FeF2 and CoF2 are interpreted reasonably. Predictions are made as to absorptions in MnF2 and NiF2. Possible linear electric field effects are pointed out for a pair of magnetic ions and for antiferromagnets. Finally magnon sidebands in the optical spectra of antiferromagnets are discussed qualitatively.
