Drift Mobility Derived from the Effective Sound Velocity in CdS

Abstract
The effective sound velocity Sq(C) is deduced in the case of ql<1 taking into account the linear loss of phonon system. Using this term, drift mobility in CdS can be obtained from the ratio Sq(C)⁄Eth, where Eth is the threshold field of the current saturation in voltage-current characteristics in CdS.
