ESR Study of Manganese Complexes in Heavily Doped CaF₂ Crystals

In heavily manganese doped CaF₂, three kinds of Mn²⁺ centers and exchange coupled pairs other than the usual Mn²⁺ centers in cubic crystal fields were found at room temperature. The spin Hamiltonian parameters are (I) g=2.00, |D|=740(G), E=36(G), A=80(G), a_s=12(G) and a_p=2∼3(G); (II) g=2.00, |D|=938(G), E=20(G), A=67(G), a_s=11.2(G) and a_p=1∼2(G); (III) g=2.00, |D|=1250(G), E=0(G), A=64(G) and a_[111]=15.1(G), respectively.
