Detailed CW–NMR line width analysis in AuV dilute alloys has been studied in the wide range of temperatures 4.5–540 K, NMR frequencies 1.5–9.8 MHz and concentrations 0.001–0.85 at.%. From the magnetic field dependences, nuclear relaxation times T1 are obtained at 78–540 K. The temperature and concentration dependences of the RKKY broadenings are explained by taking account of the impurity pair and the RKKY damping by the mean free path effect. From this analysis, the effective s-d exchange constant Jeff=−8.7±1.0 eV is obtained. This large value of Jeff is discussed in connection with those obtained by the other experimental methods and in other alloy systems.
