Another Derivation of the Solution of the Finite Toda Lattice

Without using Lax’s formalism, Moser’s continued fraction (Proc. Battelle Rencontres, Lecture Note in Phys. 38) is derived. The method is based on the integrals of Hénon’s type and the operator calculus.
