K band of FA center is studied theoretically applying a perturbation method. Within the semicontinuum theory, the wave functions and their corresponding energies for KCl F center are calculated using the Simpson and Krumhansl-Schwartz method. We obtain analytic expressions for the potentials of Li+ and Na+ ions. Applying an artifice, the perturbation was taken as the difference of potential of the impurity ion and the K+ ion potential, while the problem Hψ=Eψ for F center was solved within the semicontinuum theory. Also the calculations for the transitions between the 1S and 2P states were made using the Simpson and Krumhansl functions and also the ones of Gourary-Adrian type I. We suggest an experiment to be made.
