The energies and relative intensities of 51 gamma transitions following the β− decay of 125gSn have been precisely measured. Six gamma transitions of energy 487.2, 890.5, 903.5, 912.0, 1291.3 and 2038.3 keV have been observed for the first time. Out of these, the 890.5, 903.5 and 912.0 keV γ-transitions have been placed in the decay scheme of 125gSn. The present study reveals that the earlier reported gamma transitions of 398.1, 1137.5 and 2227.0 keV can not be attributed to 125gSn decay.
The directional correlations in 125Sb have been done on 13 cascades with improved time resolution. Based on these measurements, the 2240.4 and 2288.0 keV levels have been assigned the characters 9/2+ and 11/2+ respectively. The multipole admixtures in the 12 gamma transitions have been evaluated.
