Spectroscopic Factors of Particle-Hole States in ²⁸Si

The ²⁷Al(³He, d)²⁸Si reaction was investigated at 25.8 MeV to obtain spectroscopic factors of high spin states located at 9.702 MeV (J=5⁻, T=0), 11.577 MeV (6⁻, 0), 13.248 MeV (5⁻, 1) and 14.358 MeV (6⁻, 1). These states are expected to have a large particle-hole character because of stretched configuration. The measured spectroscopic factors (2J_f+1⁄2J_i+1)C²S ranged from 0.3 to 0.5. The S-factors for T=1 were nearly equal to those of the parent analogue states obtained from ²⁷Al(d, p)²⁸Al reaction.
