Effects of magnetic fields on the inelastic scattering time, τε, are examined in two-dimensional weakly localized regime by extending the calculation of Fukuyama and Abrahams. In spite of the strong field dependence of τε, the use of the constant τε0, the zero field value, is verified in the expression of the magnetoresistance, which have been applied successfully. Higher order interaction effects are also investigated in the same framework and are found not to affect the conclusion in an essential way.
