Low-Energy Excitation in β-Cu₂Se

Abstract

Neutron inelastic scattering of solid electrolyte β-Cu₂Se was measured by the time-of-flight (TOF) method at room temperature. Low-lying dispersionless excitations near hω∼3.4 meV, which would be common to copper ion conductors, existed in the β-phase. This result was compared with those of the excitations in other solid electrolytes.
