Abstract

The force on a Brownian particle moving at a small but finite velocity in an incompressible fluid is studied on the basis of equations governing fluctuating hydrodynamics. A nonlinear Langevin equation for a spherical Brownian particle with an explicit fluctuation-dissipation relation depending on the motion of the particle is derived.
