Neutron depolarization measurements from reentrant spin glass (RSG) alloys of Au1−xFex (x=0.16 and 0.19) were performed to investigate magnetic properties of mesoscopic inhomogeneity. The wavelength dependence of the depolarization below RSG temperature, Tg, suggests that ferromagnetic long range order coexists in the RSG phase, which is consistent with the Gabay-Toulouse model. The present experiment also demonstrates that the averaged spontaneous magnetization over a mesoscopic scale shows unusual decrease with decreasing temperature, which appears well above Tg.
