Excitations in the Vortex State of Pure Type-II Superconductors

Quasiparticle energy dispersions in the vortex state of pure type-II superconductors are studied theoretically near H_c2, taking account of the orbital quantization due to a magnetic field. We find that the dispersions have a small gap at integer multiples of cyclotron frequency. It is shown that the quasiparticle is composed of a pair of an electron and a hole quantized in Landau levels.
