As a special case of Kramers’ equation, we have
χ′(0)=\frac2π∫0∞\fracχ″(H)HdH,
where χ″(H) is the absorption coefficient in paramagnetic resonance absorption and χ′(0) is the static susceptibility. We have checked the equation in cases of paramagnetic resonance in powders of MnSO4, MnSO4·H2O, MnSO4·4H2O, MnSO4·5H2O and single crystals of CuSO4·5H2O. It is found that the relation holds within errors of several percent.
