We have proposed "Establishment of a sustainable circulation system for life science research toward the achievement of One Health" as our research strategy for the next 30-years. The three academic societies (anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology) will develop their original studies on disease treatment by understanding the mechanisms of the human body, clarifying the mechanisms of diseases and pathological conditions caused by their modification, and applying them to prevention and treatment using state-of-the-art technology, while developing basic research and fusion of different fields for the protection and health of all living organisms and conservation of the earth and space environment. This will be a new and innovative approach that will also contribute to the inheritance of the strengths (knowledge) of the three societies. Pharmacology is characterized by its attempt to understand biological functions by reducing them to interactions between chemical substances (mainly low-molecular compounds) and biological macromolecules. Pharmacology has a unique perspective and methodology not found in other research fields and, in fact, has had a revolutionary impact on the entire life sciences, contributing greatly to their progress. Pharmacology is a discipline that attempts to cut out the parts of a living organism that can be intervened by drugs and to capture the function of the organism as a collection of all of these parts. In addition to the concept of multi-omics, including genome, transcriptome, proteome, metabolome, the concept of exposome, which analyzes the total amount of multiple exposure to environmental factors that a living organism receives over its lifetime, is also being recognized as important in the maintenance of vital health and the diagnosis of unwellness. Developing the prediction of life utilizing digital transformation technology is considered necessary for realizing one-health, with a view to the preservation of the earth and space environment.
