測色によるフィルムコーティング層の均一性の検討

The evaluation method for the color uniformity of film-coated tablets and the effect of the film coating conditions on color uniformity were studied by means of colorimetry. In order to simplify the evaluation method, the following parameters were introduced. ΔE₁^* was the color difference between the surfaces of uncoated and coated tablets, ΔE₂^* was the color difference among the surfaces of several tablets in the same batch and ΔE₃^* was the color difference on the surface at several points of a tablet. Since, ΔE₂^* and ΔE₃^* were highly parallel with the results of inspection by the naked eye, it was determined that the color uniformity of inter-tablets and intra-tablets could be evaluated by ΔE₂^* and ΔE₃^*, respectively. It was suggested that the influence of the coating procedure on the uniformity of the color or film thickness of the coated tablets can be evaluated by this method, and also that of the film coating.
