Abstract
This article describes the process of writing and submitting a case report/original article for junior physical therapists, who are relatively inexperienced in submitting academic papers for publication. Case reports/original articles are documents that make one's research accessible to others, and it is therefore important that they provide materials for discussion. To achieve this goal, the author must first clarify the point(s) he or she would like to make in the case report/original article. Next, a manuscript must be written using accurate information, including research findings and sources cited in the report, in accordance with the guidelines for authors. Once the manuscript is complete, it must be checked by all co-authors. We ask that junior physical therapists follow the process described in this article when preparing case reports/original articles, and also that senior physical therapists use it as a reference guide when teaching junior physical therapists how to write an academic paper.
