Plasma diagnostics using lasers

Abstract

The high power and coherence of pulse lasers have been exploited to develop various plasma diagnostic techniques, that can determine otherwise inaccessible plasma quantities. Among these, recent developments in laser Thomson scattering and laser‐induced fluorescence are reviewed.
