A society mini symposium analyzed “local promotion of Hagi-City and fisheries industry, positioning in the regional economy of Hagi-Seamart” into the main subject from a viewpoint of the regional economy in 2008.
I devise the plan that I made use of local resources and a local characteristic in to make a marine products industry promotion plan, and Hagi-City of Yamaguchi practices it. Above all, as a place of “the local production for local consumption” of the farm and fisheries industries thing produced for a citizen of Hagi-city in a hometown, I incorporate it in a fisheries promotion plan not only I place “roadside station” Hagi-Seamart as a simple event open space and tourist facility and practice it.
I arranged the problem that I should have paid attention to when the local government (cities, towns and villages) in the shore part devised a fisheries industry promotion plan. In addition, I adopt the viewpoint of each citizen layer widely without limiting it to a person concerned with marine products industry and fisheries such as circulation processors on drawing up a promotion plan. I analyzed the point where I should have paid attention to when cities, towns and villages devised a fisheries industry promotion plan by introducing an example of Hagi-city that devised such an unusual fisheries industry promotion schedule.
