Abstract
The correction method of the dust weight in flue gas interfered by sulfur oxides was introduced.
Filter paper used to measure the dust weight were extracted with hot water and sulfur oxides absorbed in the paper were determined, and following results were obtained.
(1) Sulfuric acid and sulfate were obtained in the extracts of papers after heating and drying, and sulfurous acid and sulfite were not detected.
(2) Sulfuric acid and sulfate could be quantitatively extracted from the filter paper by hot water.
(3) Dust weight is calculated by subtracting the sulfur oxides weight from the determined dust weight.
Corrected dust weight=A-B- (C-B×96/98)
A: the measured value by gravimetric analysis
B; the measured value by neutralization titration method (free H2SO4)
C: the measured value by precipitation titration method (total SO42-)
