Abstract
In our country, in spite of the excess number of Ph. D.s, the number of permanent academic positions has decreased, and as results, the limited-term researchers have increased. The limited-term researchers are certainly contributing for activation of research activities in our country, but they are feeling some kind of uneasiness because their future career paths seem not very clear. I also have kept my research career somehow, by getting limited-term postdoctoral positions so far. In the last year of my term, I have to look for the next job. For each job hunting, to make a decision, I referred to my research interests and direction at the time, the workplace and salary of the job, and the opinions of my family members and my teachers. I do not know whether my choice in each crossroads was right. However, I did my best in each situation, and have grown up through various experiences. In this workshop, I will talk about my research career path, and I am hoping you could make it reference for finding your career path.
