A magnetic-geared motor with controllable maximum transmission torque (MGMCMTT) is proposed. The MGMCMTT can control the maximum transmission torque utilizing DC currents. In addition, it has been reported that the torque on the low-speed rotor due to coil currents is dominant, and the relationship between the phase angle difference and load is different from conventional magnetic-geared motors. In this paper, a mathematical model of the MGMCMTT is created, and the relationship between the phase angle difference and load is compared with that due to finite element analysis under vector control.
