抄録

 The products of atmospheric low temperature plasma are highly chemically reactive and have a variety of bioactivities. In this study, we used atmospheric low temperature plasma to evaluate the treatment of bone fractures. In experiment using rats model of bone injury, the tail were incised and then the fifth caudal vertebra were perforated, and the injured area was irradiated with plasma once a day. We performed weekly imaging using CT to evaluate the bone volume increase. The results showed that the plasma irradiated group showed a significant increase in initial bone volume. In the experiment using osteoblasts, when differentiation was induced in the plasma irradiated medium, calcification was observed due to accelerated bone differentiation. These experiments suggest that atmospheric low temperature plasma generated at atmospheric pressure can be used for early recovery of bone fractures.
