Smart glasses (SG) are glasses-type devices that use augmented reality technology to simultaneously display both the real world and digital information in the wearer’s field of view. By combining SG with bone conduction headphones and implementing voice recognition applications, hands-free operation can be achieved. In this study, we developed educational content for Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) priming using SG and evaluated its educational effectiveness. Thirty students were divided into two groups, and learning was conducted using either a paper manual or SG. The practical skills before and after the learning sessions were assessed using checklists, questionnaires, and eyetracking analysis. Additionally, clinical engineers with more than five years of hospital experience performed the procedure, and their eye movements during the procedure were analyzed for comparison.
