A driver model that behaves like a regular non-expert driver has been developed. Non-expert drivers tend to steer according to their feeling and their steering behavior changes depending on the vehicle even if significant differences in vehicle response cannot be found. Because non-expert drivers are very sensitive, it is possible to evaluate a vehicle's characteristics by measuring the steering maneuvers of non-expert drivers. Therefore, in a vehicle dynamics simulation, a non-expert driver model better matches the subjective feelings of drivers.
