A system that facilitates clutch and shift operation by electronic control actuators has been developed for motorcycles demanding high sports performance. A brief description of development of the "Yamaha Chip Controlled Shift" (YCC-S) automated manual transmission system for motorcycles that aspires to offer both high sports performance and comfort is provided herein.
