Abstract

In this study, the effects of initial gas conditions on diesel combustion are investigated by multi-dimensional computational fluid dynamins(CFD) code coupled with complex chemistry analysis. The first report examines the validity of the analysis, so the results of the numerical analysis, fuel injectin timing and EGR ratio was changed as a parameter, are compared with those of experiments. The results of the numerical analysis showed that this kind of analysis can predict in-cylinder pressure and heat release rate diagram and Nox emissions in good accuracy under various operating conditions.
