The Model Concept for a Simple 3DOF Vehicle Model with Considerations of the Effect of Body Roll

Abstract

3DOF vehicle models that consider vehicle roll motion have been proposed, because roll motion significantly impacts the transient behavior of the vehicle. Previous model concepts, however, have a common problem that any modification of roll axis inclination angle automatically influences the roll steer characteristics. The thesis points out the problem and proposes a new model concept, which solves the porblem.
