Abstract
Recently, clean diesel engines are equipped with several variable mechanisms such as CRS, EGR, VG turbo, and VVT. Therefore, a huge variety of parameters must be optimized in order to improve the engine performance including engine efficiency and exhaust gas properties. In this paper, we focus on the improvement of the engine performance and robustness, which were achieved by the optimization method.
