Abstract
For the reduction of exhaust emissions of diesel engine, an improvement of DI diesel engine system were carried out by using GTL fuel, which is expected as an alternative fuel. In this study, the combustion chamber, injection pattern and EGR calibration were modified utilizing combustion characteristics of GTL fuel. In addition, after-treatment system for zero sulfur fuel was studied to realize high conversion efficiency of NOx catalyst. As a result, it was found that the optimization of the engine system with GTL fuel enables to realize an excellent potential of exhaust emissions.
