Abstract
Until recently, vehicle performance has been predicted on the basis of simulations of single physical phenomena. Simultaneous prediction of conjugate performance is now required. This paper describes a concurrent mesh platform that has been newly developed for cunducting conjugate simulations of multiple physical phenomena in a vehicle. In this mesh platform, different physical meshes are coupled accurately by using rapping technology. In the case of transforming meshes of one unit, the other meshes are automatically changed by using new morphing technique. The advantage of this process is possible to predict by only this mesh platform changing without CAD data changing. The procedure for conducting a simulation of multiple physical phenomena is explained first, followed by presentation of the simulation results and their validation with experimental data.
