Abstract
In this study, a quasi 2-dimentional continuous regeneration DPF(Diesel Particulate Filter) model, considering the inlet/outlet channels, and DPF substrate, was constructed to analyze the distributions of PM loading, filter temperature and pressure at the continuous and active regenerations. In the model, soot was loaded in the substrate initially. After that, soot cake layer was formed. Continuous regeneration and active regeneration reactions were also considered. As a result, the model can predict the pressure drop of DPF which was obtained by engine bench test.
