Abstract
The nitrogen components (NO, NO2, N2O and NH3) analyzer has been developed utilizing Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL). The QCL can emit coherent light in a mid-infrared region where these nitrogen components have strong absorption. This laser optics configuration can give us a super fine resolution of the mid-infrared spectrum. Therefore, utilizing this spectrometer it is possible to reduce the interference caused by the spectral overlap of co-existing gases in engine exhaust gas. In this report, improvement of the response time of NH3 measurement has been attempted. Moreover to achieve wide measurement ranges two detectors with two different light path lengths have been used.
