Abstract
A measurement technique using the new digital telemeter which measures the piston secondary motion as ensuring high accuracy while under the operation have been developed. The telemeter has an original signal processing circuit and a self-contained power generator, and its compact and lightweight design enables measurements giving only small impact on the motion.
The authors applied the telemeter to measure the piston secondary motion and clarified what may be the effects of the center of gravity of the piston, the pressure in the crankcase, and the amount of lubricating oil supplied on the cylinder bore.
