Abstract
NISSAN has succeeded to develop the 75 percent platium group metal (PGM) reduced emission control catalyst compared to conventional one. In order to achieve the PGM reduction for this catalyst, two key technologies are adopted. One is prevention of PGM sintering, which can keep PGM in single-dedigit nanometer range under high temperature conditions. Another is to be faster oxygen transfer rate between promoter and PGM compared to conventional catalyst by locating promoter particle in 1/10 distance from support material of .
