Abstract
Weight reduction of a piston and wrist-pin causes larger distortion in pin-boss bearing and wrist-pin, and bring poor lubrication condition. Measurement of friction force between the wrist-pin and pin boss bearing is one of the effective ways for analysis of the lubrication condition. The accuracy of the friction force measurement was improved in this study, and quite low friction force of DLC coating was successfully measured.
