Abstract

In this study, we use post injection system on diesel engine bench tests with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). To raise regeneration efficiently of DPF, we set two parameters of post injection (Intervals between main and post injection, post injection fueling rate). We also research efficiency of post injection parameters to be regenerated Soot in the DPF at active regeneration. After that, we predict soot loading in the DPF and considered usefulness of active regeneration with post injection by using a quasi-2dimentional DPF model.
