Abstract
This Particulate Filter of Silent Discharge type has been studied to remove PM (Particulate Matter). Hereinafter, This device shall be referred to as SDeDPF. Generally, the exhaust gas temperature of diesel engines is 200℃ or no more than 250℃ under normal condition in the town. Under such condition, PM is not removed inside usual ceramic DPF on which Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) is supported. It′s because the DOC does not work under the temperature of no more than 250℃. SDeDPF which is original to this study has been developed for purpose of continuously removing PM, electrically as well as chemically without using precious metal under the condition of room temperature and atmospheric pressure. The final result of laboratory test having confirmed high PM removal 95.6% under the condition of room temperature and atmospheric pressure without precious metal, we would like to report this study in below.
