Regarding serious accidents caused by reversed vehicles, mistakes in pedal stepping are focused, but in reality lot of them occur during normal driving behavior. This presentation focuses on the backover accidents that the weak vulnerable road users (VRU) were killed or seriously injured and consider characteristics of those accidents using domestic accident traffic statistics and in-depth investigation cases, and special crash investigation data in US.
