Development of Unique Regeneration Motor Torque Control Strategy Based on Accelerator Pedal to Achieve Good Fuel Economy and Easy Drive for EV Bus.

Abstract

In order to realize good fuel economy, smooth acceleration and deceleration, easy drive control required for public city bus, we developed unique vehicle control strategy which controls motor drive/regeneration torque continuously based on accelerator pedal opening angle, and we confirmed its advantage on fuel economy and easy drive performance for bus drivers.
