Abstract
To correspond with CO2 reduction from the automotive, in conjunction with electrification, improving the thermal efficiency of ICE are crucial and lean boosted SI engine is being studied. However, the combustion limitation is one of the issues for this technology, therefore it is important to clarify the spark ignition mechanism. In this study the in-cylinder condition which dominate the spark-ignition duration is examined and the effect of turbulence is revealed.
