Abstract
In relation to weight reduction in automobile, it is attracting attention of various welding methods for resin in infrared welding. The adherends are heated by non-contact infrared rays, and the welding interface are melted and jointed. In infrared vibration welding, the adhereneds are melted by irradiating with infrared rays and jointed by the frictional heat generated by the contact vibration of them. This paper reports the differences in the mechanical properties and structure of the welding interface area of PPS resin made by these methods.
