Influence of Vehicle Interior Design and Sound on Comfortability in Cabin using VR System

Abstract

In this study, we focused on comfortability in cabin and investigated an influence of vehicle interior design and sound on the total comfortability using VR system. In the test, various interior design and interior sound were presented in the VR system and the total comfortability was assessed in the subjective evaluation test. As the result, color of interior design and loudness and roughness of interior sound were found to have significant influence on the comfortability. In addition, synergetic effect between design and sound on the comfortability was observed.
