Abstract
This paper describes a basic discussion on a technique for the design requirement of body frame which can be applied for reducing the noise level by suppressing energy propagation of frame to panel. Instantaneous structural intensity was analyzed to visualize the energy propagation path of entire structure. “Impedance evaluation model” which enables to quantify the energy propagation at its centroidal axis was developed. By verifying the change of transfer impedance when stiffness ratio was set as a parameter, the panel vibration reduction was suggested to be possible if energy propagation path is controlled.
