Abstract
Multi-component fuel depositions and evaporation behaviors of high pressure DI fuel sprays on a heated plate are measured by means of an exciplex fluorescence technique. Temperatures, distillation characteristics and thicknesses of deposited fuel films are calculated from ratios of two wavelength fluorescence intensities and a DMA doped fluorescence intensity as an additional donor molecule for exciplex. Fuel deposition and evaporation behaviors are explained under different wall temperatures and fuel pressure conditions.
