Abstract
To prevent Global warming caused by CO 2, multi material automotive structures including CFRP are expanding due to the vehicle weight reduction. Therefore, “CFRP joining Working Group” of Fatigue Reliability Committee in JSAE is studying CFRP structure with the bonding joint. In this report, the fatigue strength of urethane adhesive joint is studied by lap shear joints and specime ns simulated car body structure. As results, fatigue properties such as crack initiation and propagation at adhesive joint were clarified. Fur thermore, the criteria of fatigue strength were studied to evaluate the adhesive joint of body structures.
