Community-driven curation of disease knowledge-base and clinical decision support platform

Abstract

Disease knowledge base is a key component toward appropriate advancement of information systems for clinical medicine. However, development and maintenance of information resource for medical domain demands intervention of physicians, which boosts the cost, and thus, obstructs the development. To address the problem, this paper proposes hybridization of distinct knowledge bases, manually compiled knowledge base for accuracy, and automatically generated knowledge base for coverage, coupled with implicit auditing mechanism.
