This study aims to obtain a reasonable designing method for minimizing vibration of a rubber crawler system for farm machinery.
In this paper, vertical penetration test of the track roller into the inner surface of the rubber crawler was performed in order to make clear the mechanical interaction between the track roller and the rubber crawler. Furthermore, relationship between the loading force by the track roller and the vertical compressing displacement of the rubber crawler were investigated.
Results showed that the compressing displacements due to a constant loading force by the track roller varied at every measuring points, and that the displacements measured at measuring points above core bars and at those between core bars gave remarkable differences.
Finally, it was suggested to be appropriate that the static spring constant was expressed by a Fourier series.
