Abstract

A carrier-driving type gantry system which is more cost and energy saving than conventional gantry systems has developed. Main specifications of girder frame, carrier, rails, transposing device, driving unit and control unit were investigated. An FEM analysis was done to get a girder frame with minimum deflection under the maximum draft of 1250N of reduced tillage. A driving unit and 630W solar cell unit were designed for this load. Basic methods of field operations with this system were investigated and accuracy of operation were compared.
